What Type of Traveller Are You?
How you behave once the plane lands
The way somebody travels says more about them than the way they describe themselves at a dinner party. Ten questions about airports, itineraries and what you do on day three, and a result that will settle an argument with whoever you travel with.
Before you start There are no right answers. Pick what is usually true for you, not what sounds best.
Answer for how you actually travel, including the parts you would not put on Instagram.
What it measures
Your travel habits, sorted into four recognisable types. No science, plenty of arguments settled.
Possible results
The Planner
The trip works because you made it work
The Seeker
You want to understand the place, not just visit it
The Drifter
The best part was never on the itinerary
The Unwinder
You went away to stop, and stopping is the point
Common questions
My partner and I got opposite results. Are we doomed?
No, but you should split the trip rather than the difference. The usual fix is to agree in advance which days are structured and which are open, instead of negotiating it fresh every morning while one of you is hungry.
Can my type change?
Constantly, and mostly with your circumstances. People become Unwinders when work is heavy, Seekers when they are curious about somewhere specific, and Drifters when they are between things. Take it again in a few years.
An honest note This one is for fun. Enjoy it, share it, but do not plan your life around it.
