Privacy policy
What we collect, what we do not, and how to control it.
Last updated: 2026-10-08
This policy explains how Quinthea ("we") handles information when you visit https://www.quinthea.com. It is written to be read, not to be skipped.
The short version
- We do not ask you to create an account.
- Your test answers are processed in your browser and are not sent to us.
- Nothing from Google or Microsoft is loaded before you consent.
- With your consent, we measure visits with Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, and we show advertising from Google AdSense.
- You can change your answer at any time through the Privacy choices link at the bottom of every page.
- We never sell personal data.
Information we handle
Information you give us
Only what you choose to send by email. If you write to us, we keep that message so we can reply to it.
Information stored in your browser
We use your browser's local storage to remember your language, your light or dark theme preference, your consent choice, and any test you left half-finished so you can continue it. This information stays on your device. We cannot read it and it is never transmitted to our servers. Clearing your browser data removes it. The cookie policy lists each value.
Information collected automatically
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.), which records standard server and security logs, including IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These are used for security and to keep the site running, and are kept for a limited period.
How we ask for consent
Nothing from Google or Microsoft is loaded before you consent. Copies of the site opened locally, from a computer rather than from https://www.quinthea.com, never load them.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, your consent is collected in one of two ways: by our own banner, with the buttons "Accept all" and "Essential only", or, once our AdSense account is approved, by a consent message provided by Google. Google's message is a Google-certified consent management platform that uses the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework.
Either way, the Privacy choices link at the bottom of every page lets you change your answer at any time.
Measurement (only with your consent)
Google Analytics 4
Provided by Google Ireland Limited for visitors in the EEA and the UK, and by Google LLC elsewhere. It counts visits and the pages viewed, and records your region (country or city level) and your type of device. We also record two events of our own: that a test was started, and that it was completed, together with the result category. Your individual answers are never sent.
Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<ID>, which last up to 2 years.
Microsoft Clarity
Provided by Microsoft Corporation. It produces heatmaps and anonymised session recordings that show us where a page is confusing. Text typed into fields is masked. It sets the cookies _clck (up to 1 year) and _clsk (1 day). See Microsoft's privacy statement.
Advertising
This site shows advertising supplied by Google AdSense and its certified partners.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google My Ad Center, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at www.aboutads.info.
- To learn more, read Google's page How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
- If you choose "Essential only", ads may still appear, but they are non-personalised or limited ads.
Search tools
Quinthea is registered in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools. They only show us aggregated search statistics (queries, clicks and impressions) and place nothing on your device. We also notify search engines of updated pages through IndexNow; no visitor data is involved.
Legal basis (GDPR)
For visitors in the EEA, we rely on: legitimate interest for security logs and basic site operation; and your consent for analytics (Google Analytics), Microsoft Clarity and advertising. You may withdraw consent at any time through the Privacy choices link at the bottom of every page.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export personal data we hold, to object to processing, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Because we do not operate accounts and do not receive your test answers, we hold nothing that identifies you by name. Visit data collected with your consent by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity is pseudonymous and linked to a cookie on your device; deleting this site's cookies breaks that link. To make a request, email hello@quinthea.com with the subject PRIVACY.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Our hosting, measurement and advertising providers (Cloudflare, Google and Microsoft) may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards those providers publish.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and note what changed.
